A Corpse Flower / Rafflesia Flower Trek is an exciting and unique experience, especially for those who are fascinated by rare and unusual plants. The Corpse Flower, or Amorphophallus titanum, is one of the largest and most striking flowers in the world, known for its powerful, unpleasant odor that resembles rotting flesh—hence the name. Starting from Bukit Lawang, your guide will meet you at your accommodation where you will set off towards Batu Katak, a small eco-tourism village bordering the Gunung Leuser National Park. Batu Katak is known for its surrounding karst forest which is home to two of the world’s most unique flowers - the Rafflesia Arnoldi and the The Amorphophallus titanum aka Corpse Flower.
